Hello Taylor fans!

Yes, again! We actually didn’t know if the Sparkly Dressed was even making the show, but she actually walked the red carpet. Following an introduction by Kris Kristofferson and a video footage clip detailing her accomplishments, Zooey Deschanel was the one presenting the Queen of Sparks with the Woman of the Year award at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada last night (May 20).

And although she had not been previously announced to appear in the show, the starting credits teased about “A special appearance by Taylor Swift”. I think it was a way to make sure she didn’t leave.

She didn’t win her other nominations. Top Country Artist went to Lady Antebellum and Top Touring Artist went to U2.

On other Country news, Jason Aldean won Top Country Album for My Kinda Party and Top Country Song for Dirt Road Anthem. Fellow country singer Luke Bryan was on hand to introduce Carrie Underwood’s performance of Blown Away from her new album from the same name. It was one of the few great performances of the show.

Other highlights for me where John Legend and Jordin Sparks during the Whitney Houston tribute, Cee Lo Green and the Goody Mob’s small tribute to Adam Yauch from the Beastie Boys and finally, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys singing to close the show.

I wish I’d heard more of Natasha Bedingfield’s tribute to Donna Summer but they cut to commercials when she had barely started singing. That was not cool.

Adele won Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Digital Media Artist, Top Pop Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top 1o0 Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist… and a lot more! Unfortunately, they never got to the top awards of the night.

Here’s Taylor’s win. No idea how long will this remain up!

And here’s an interview she did backstage with Downtown Julie Brown:

Lol… when Zooey says the thing about the Hall of Fame donation Taylor mouths something like “they know that?” Good proof that she doesn’t toot her own horn about her philanthropy (as if we didn’t already know that :))

Honestly, I am the proudest girl in the world right now. I knew she would win, she’s my favorite person in the world. I hope she never looses her since of wonder.
