We get to call Taylor Swift a doll literally now. American toy company Jakks Pacific has created six Taylor Swift dolls. Three of the dolls sing either Teardrops on My Guitar, Our Song or Picture to Burn. The other three do not sing, instead focusing on the songstress’s fashion. The Red Carpet Ready doll sports a dress similar to the one by Reem Acra that Swift wore to last week’s Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
There’s also a Love Story version of the doll. I wonder if she quick-changes from the red medieval gown into the white one.
You can get them from Amazon.
I’d sooner call her an action figure because the Fearless One has been very active, and she has been called more than just a doll in the figurative sense as well lately.
She’s getting some love from Nicole Kidman. The australian actress called T-Swizzy a “honey bun” and a “delight”, explaining “she’s everything that she appears to be.” Kidman was being interviewed by MTV about her role in Nine when she was asked about harboring any resentments after her husband, Keith Urban, lost the title of CMA Entertainer of the Year to Swift. Nicole couldn’t be more appraising of the young 19-year-old, affirming that Taylor deserves everything that’s happening to her. Here’s the full article.
During an MTV interview with Emma Stone, we learned that Swifty had to make out with Taylor Lautner for the movie Valentine’s Day. All in a day’s work. Sometimes, when you’re required to do a little acting, it’s not all fun and games (the password is sarcasm).
Even more praises came down the pipe from SNL cast member Bill Hader. While being interviewed by Speakeasy at the Gotham Independent Film Awards about Taylor Lautner’s upcoming hosting gig, Bill confirmed that Swifty did an excellent job impersonating Kristin Stewart’s character for the Twilight spoof, Firelight. Hader worked with Kristin Stewart on the film Adventureland. “I can vouch that Swift, who I can’t say enough good things about, does a really good Kristin Stewart impression,” Hader said.
