Taylor Swift performed her hits at the Music City Jam, highlight of the Country Radio Seminar (CRS), tonight February 24th at the Nashville Convention Center.

This was a private concert for industry insiders and only a few lucky people got the chance to assist. The Fearless One was performing for a rather subdued audience here, mostly radio programmers. Julianne Hough and Gloriana were also in hand as surprise guest. Original article at CMT News.

Remind me to become a music industry insider so I can get into one of these shows and be the only one screaming, I mean, singing along with Taylor.

Scott Borchetta, CEO of Big Machine Records (like my readers don’t know who he is) presented Taylor with a gigantic plaque for the sale of 10 million albums. Updated: There’s video! Thanks to cheyanaharter via YouTube for posting!

On other news, Brad Paisley took the time to praise Taylor for being the voice of her generation. She was also his opening act at some point. Brad has punked Taylor a couple of times. Don’t worry, she has payed him back with interest. They’re good friends. No, seriously. He’s happily married. I get tired of the media coming up with a new Taylor Swift romance rumor based on the fact that she talked to someone.

Brad told Country Countdown U.S.A. “In her age group when normally they don’t have that sort of thing — a true lyrical songwriter person who puts into song the feelings of her age group, a teenager who’s able to write perfectly about those years of life. Usually, those people don’t necessarily have that until they’re older. Here’s teenagers able to say this woman, this young woman is my voice. She’s singing about my heartbreak and the love I’m feeling and the things that are going on.” Original article at TheBoot.com.

The Country Radio Seminar continues through Friday, February 26. Taylor will be the topic during “The Taylor Effect,” a panel discussion to analyze the marketing decisions that contributed to her rise to stardom. One of those marketing decisions may be very well be letting Taylor handle her own career as she saw fit.

And baking cookies at night to share with whoever she was meeting the next morning, of course.

Taylor Swift’s Fearless Tour starts March 4 in Tampa, Florida.

She’s nominated for Favorite Song and Favorite Female Singer at the Kids Choice Awards. Click here to vote.
