Kid Rock to host the CMT Awards. Hug Challenge epilogue. LAST DAY TO VOTE!

Go vote now!

Kid Rock made the announcement last Thursday. He will be taking over the hosting duties for the CMT Music Awards 2010 on June 9th. I’ll be honest, I was really looking forward to Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosting for a third time. They were so funny the last two years! Kid Rock seems really psyched up to the task though. You can read the article at CMT News.

Update: I’m an idiot. Brad and Carrie have been hosts of the CMA Awards. That’s not the same thing that the CMT Awards. Or the ACM Awards. Althought most people voting in them are the same people. Anybody else confused yet?

Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban have been confirmed to perform so far. The 2010 CMT Music Awards will air live on June 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

No word on whether we will get a performance from the Fearless One… yet.

On other news, the guys from, Michael and Ryan, have released footage of the day they met T-Swizzle. Thanks to FourMinuteProduction for posting!

Now, in case you’re wondering why I have a guitar over your head again, it’s the last day left to vote on the first round of the CMT Music Award Nominations!

Go vote now!

Be sure to vote for Taylor Swift! She’s nominated for Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year! VOTE. I mean now. How about now? Now would be good. Otherwise, guitar. Kabong.

Voting closes tomorrow Monday, May 3. The CMT Music Awards air from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, live 8/7c.

  1. great article once again!!
But Brad and Carrie hosted the cma awards, the comedian bill engaval (idk how to spell his last name) hosted the cmt awards last year…but i agree, I’d rather have some one else host other than kid rock…not a big fan of him lol.
Keep up the great work! 🙂

    1. Yes, you are correct… I got them confused, didn’t I? Thanks for the correction! 🙂
