Birdcages, Stingrays, the Hal David Starlight Award and an iPhone app

I don’t think they stock those at Home Depot (Oh, aisle thirteen? Thanks).

The Fearless One was recently interviewed by MTV News Hollywood Crush about her third album (no dates yet, last we heard from Scott Borchetta, it would come out on the fall), her Fearless Tour and finally her plans for her new penthouse apartment.

The plans for the Swift lair include a giant birdcage, large enough to hold a table in it. Which she does plan on putting in. Also, the idea of putting stingrays which kind of worries me a bit. And I’m not talking about the smell. They do sting, you know. Anyway, let’s go to the video!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

At least she’s not shopping for a death ray. Yet.

I, for one, welcome our new Fearless world conqueror… Sorry, just practicing. Enjoy your freedom while you can, I say. Taylor keeps postponing the date she will move into her place because she keeps adding things.

Taylor Swift is to receive the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame this Thursday, June 17. We’re almost sure she will attend that one. The event will take place at at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel.

If you haven’t, you should check out Mix Me In2 Taylor Swift. Taylor’s new iphone application includes every member of the Agency. It’s a clever way to handle what you’re mixing in. Grant controls lead guitar, Paul can add a second guitar or keyboards, Amos controls the bass, Caitlin the fiddle, Mike is the banjo or even a piano, Liz handles all background vocals and Al controls percussion. The Fearless One is of course, lead vocals. You can mix them in or out, use the preset mixes, do a duet with Taylor or record yourself singing any flavor of the songs included. Here’s a very useful tutorial:

The app only includes 2 songs, You Belong With Me and Love Story which makes the $2.99 a bit steep for an iPhone app, but it since it will allow you to change the style of each song as you like it you get every possible variation of them you can think of. Definitely worth it if you’re a fan or a collector for listening to the mixes alone. Even more so if you want to use Taylor’s band to produce your own cover and upload it to Taylor’s website (it does that for you). You can three more songs: Fifteen, You’re Not Sorry and Hey Stephen for $1.99 each.

The Teen Choice Awards will be held in Los Angeles on August 9, hosted by Katy Perry. Taylor Swift is nominated for Choice Music Female Artist and Choice Music Female Country Artist. Valentine’s Day is nominated for Choice Movie Romantic Comedy. Please VOTE!

Remember you can keep up to date with the Fearless One’s events through the Calendar. This coming Saturday, June 19, she will be performing at the Imperial Ballroom at Atlantis in the Bahamas.
