Taylor Swift on Ellen: She’s going to continue to never tell you who the song is about.

On Thursday, October 28, Taylor Swift filmed her episode on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

It’s often said that fame changes people. I believe the Outspoken One has grown up into a bigger artist without letting fame go to her head. However, it’s also safe to say that Taylor becoming famous has not changed the way Ellen interviews her!

Ellen went for the John Mayer rumor first. And Taylor explained that people are more interested in the subject material of her songs rather… more than when she was twelve. And that she would continue to never tell them who the song is about. I’d like Taylor to know that I am more interested in the quality of the songwriting than the subject of this songs, really. She’s much too polite to say it.

People reported that Ellen teased her about being seen with Jake Gyllenhaal while on New York City. In her usual roundabout way, Ellen began asking Taylor if she believed in love and then went right to the point by saying, “especially if your boyfriend is Jake Gyllenhaal, because he is very handsome.” Ellen then added, “Y’all are just hanging out though, right?” Taylor replied, “you have a picture of us on the screen, don’t you?”

Later in the show, she met a dinosaur (you’ll see), she performed Mine and gave the winner of the ultimate fan contest the chance to meet Taylor, win a Taylor baby guitar autographed by the Outspoken One herself and a pass to go to the CMA Awards on November 10.
