In the eyes of music critics, the views on Taylor Swift tend to be dramatically different. They either love her or hate her. For the record, we here at the Swift Agency, one guy who’s ecstatic she’s coming to Montreal, we love love love her.

So, what about country music critics? Well, you expect them to favor the traditional side of country music rather than the new. Not often to you hear praise for artists heavily influenced by rock or pop. Contemporary country is a mix influenced by sounds from all genres.

Nashville Scene reported on the results for the 2011 Country Music Critics’ Poll in Nashville, Tennessee. Jamey Johnson got a lot of praise, as did Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley and Taylor Swift. Yes, seems like the Outspoken One still ranks high in the minds of country music critics. She didn’t get a top spot in any of the categories but she did came close to the top in most.

On other, very important news, Washington D.C will also have the TaylorSwift.com presale on February 1st, as confirmed by Ticketmaster as well as an American Express presale on January 30 as the show in Nashville. I expect Newark and St. Louis to follow the same pattern. That means that Swifites going to the shows in Newark, Washington D. C., St. Louis and Nashville should be checking their emails. By Monday, January 31 at the latest you should get the presale code and link.
