Heavy Metal at the Hard Rock: Taylor will be remembered

The Fearless One… because that’s still my favorite nickname to call her, knows how to throw a party. Family, friends and The Agency got together along with music industry insiders, reporters, critics for a party thrown by the Outspoken and often Sparkly Dressed native from Pennsylvania who has become one of Nashville’s favorite adopted daughters.

Taking over the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville on Friday, January 28, the party had much reason to celebrate. The Recording Industry Association of America presented her with a plaque (one of many that Taylor would receive that night) celebrating more than 13 million records shipped. I’m guessing everyone was trying to out do each other with the plaques. Scott Borchetta, CEO of Big Machine Records, which I don’t have to remind you is Taylor’s label, went all out with the large one you see here.

Similar gifts were presented by BMI, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Country Aircheck, Music Row magazine, Country Radio Broadcasters, the Country Music Association, Universal Music Group Distribution, Nielsen SoundScan and CMT. You can read the original story on CMT News.

Tay was quick to thank everyone afterwards:

On other news, I’m going to Brad Paisley’s concert this Saturday, January 29. The H20 Frozen Over Tour makes a stop in Montreal and I’ve got floor tickets! I’m so ready for this. Expect a blog on Sunday of course.

Lady Antebellum will soon resume its Webisode Wednesdays again! Not that they need any help from us- I mean, me 🙂 I’ll be glad to feature them anyways.

Bunch of ticket sales about to go presale, make sure you check your mails throughout the weekend and on Monday. February 1st has been confirmed as the TaylorSwift.com presale date by Ticketmaster for Washington D. C., St. Louis and Nashville. I expect Newark to be included soon.

  1. This article makes it sound like she threw the party for her self and invited people to give her awards! Seriously though, her company should honor her big time! Good Luck on your tour Taylor!

    1. Hahaha xD I guess it does sound that way… All are milestones that Taylor has already achieved it and she knows it. Rather than just pick up the plaques or have people sent them to her, Taylor and Big Machine Records invite all of them to a party. I think it’s a nice detail on her part and wraps up her past year so she can start the Speak Now World Tour!
