Note: The following post contains concert details. Don’t read if you prefer to be surprised in your concert!

Hi Swifties 🙂 The reviews from the first Speak Now tour concert are in! Thumbs up! 🙂 Let’s take a look.

TODAYOnline gave her a positive review. You can tell this review is written by a fan by the one big complaint – the author wishes the show would’ve been longer! As the article explains, there were a lot of kids in the audience so Taylor kept the banter to a minimum and sang a decent, if not very large, seleection. There is praise for Taylor being in total control of her voice, and just one instance of her high notes not being perfect. As has been noted by a few people, there were no hits from her first album. Since her first album, Taylor Swift, was never released in Singapore, this may have been a local decision.

Taylor also scored big according to theurbanwire.com.  She was said to have ” dazzled the audience with mash-ups as well as acoustic performances on the guitar, piano and a ukelele, no less.” The Outspoken one changed wardrobe between a blue dress and glitter-rich silver and gold numbers. The article mentions Enchanted was the one song when for a moment her voice seemed to give, but still it was after a “high octane set.” According to the article, this was “proof of Swift’s vast improvement as she managed to stay consistent throughout most of the concert.”

Another review in Asia One News seems to agree: “her vocals were near pitch-perfect throughout the 95min show, save for a moment where she faltered on the ballad, Enchanted.” The author is quick to note a high point as well. “One must say that her voice shone particularly bright on Dear John.”

The 90-95 minutes show will be probably expanded on larger venues with hopefully some favorites, both old and new returning to the list.

Speak Now: Bet you can’t watch the choreography between Tay, Cait and Liz without going “Awwww!” I’m not a huge fan of this song, it’s just ok for me – but the live performance is funny.

Dear John: Amazing that she included this song. She really, really nails this one.

Better Than Revenge: This going to be one very expected moment of her concert. She actually says “Now go stand in the corner…” You can’t even hear the phrase past the first words before  the screams start.

The T-Party: Wouldn’t you want to be in that room? Getting in this room is a pure act of luck… but being loud and original does help!

The Sparkly Dressed played Seoul, South Korea! We’re awaiting more media to show up on the event. It has been non-stop blogging here at the Swift Agency, where we’re still one guy who really wanted to blog two days ago but concert dates kept coming up. We know those were more important to get, but the days are becoming really short for all the amount of news that I wish I could get to you.
