Country artists are known for keeping a healthy connection to their fans. Taylor Swift is not the exception to that rule, but rather one of the shiniest examples of it.
The Outspoken One gets rewarded and reminded constantly of it by the number of fan-voted awards she wins. The latest example is the ACM Award for Entertainer of the Year. Now I’ve read a few critics trying to work a negative angle to this award, but the plain truth is that fans gave it to her. The Sparkly Dressed will find ways to give back to fans, Swifties and Taylorgeeks all the time.
Whenever Taylor has a chance to meet the fans, she will take that chance. She’s a busy girl, she’s got a schedule to keep, but she will find the time. I’m aware this is not like her old days where she could stay after every concert to meet every fan, but she’s been really good at keeping her fans close.
Let’s look at some video examples (nice segway, huh). Here’s Taylor arriving at the 46th ACM Awards. She goes directly for the fans. The red carpet can wait.Vodpod videos no longer available.
Another video of Tay meeting fans at the ACM Awards. I spot @Cayleeeee 🙂Vodpod videos no longer available.
I know some of you do get sad that you haven’t had the chance to meet the Blond With The Sparkly Guitar (for the record, I haven’t met her either). I just hope you do. It’s all luck. If you have a concert coming up, make sure you are loud and wear something sparkly or that glows in the dark. Best of luck to you.
