Women Who Rock: Faith Hill, Loretta Lynn and Taylor Swift

The Outspoken One is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame… but along with Faith Hill and Loretta Lynn she will be highlighted on the Women Who Rock exhibit.

The exhibit will include Loretta Lynn’s gown from her Portland, Oregon video, an Epiphone acoustic guitar and album covers from Here’s Loretta Lynn, Coal Miner’s Daughter and Don’t Come Home a’ Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind). Faith Hill will be represented by a Versace outfit from her 2000 CBS Thanksgiving special. The Sparkly Dressed contributed the gold glitter dress she wore on CMT Crossroads with Def Leppard, handwritten lyrics to Change and an Ovation 1755 Custom Balladeer 12-string guitar. The exhibit will run until Feb. 26, 2012.

Here is the original story from CMT.com. You can find out more at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I still remember when Taylor sang at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Emmylou Harris asked her if she’d ever donate the sparkly guitar to the Hall. Her response was priceless and fearless: “Eventually.” Back when I blogged about it, that phrase for me meant she was not done yet.

Tomorrow are the 2011 CMT Awards nominations. Leaks have already revealed someone we both know might have a few nominations. I’m not saying who. Watch NBC’s Today show tomorrow morning where Evan Farmer will officially announce the nominations.
