Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who’s become a little bit country thanks to certain Blond With A Sparkly Guitar, we like from time to time to bring you news from other country music stars.

Brad Paisley has undertaken a very personal challenge in bringing together in one album, everything that he believes Country Music is. This Is Country Music is quite an achievement and I don’t believe myself capable to judge if he makes it, but… I think the album is excellent. According to Entertainment Weekly, he gets an A.

“I can’t wait for this album to be out and people to finally hear the work that we’ve done,” says Brad. “And I think we’ve put together one of our strongest compilations of material. And it’s really what I wanted to do right now. It’s really a very country album. It’s very much filled with stories and real life, and it’s really borrowed from the first song, which, the line is,‘This is real, this is your life in a song,’ and I think whoever you are, somethin’ on here is exactly that.”

Here is Brad’s new video from the new single Old Alabama in which the legendary country group Alabama makes an appearance. The song rose to #1 on the country music singles chart!

And on other news, you might have heard Lady Antebellum managed to win for Top Country Song at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. Congratulations, Charles, Dave and Hillary! Here’s their latest webisode with a backstage look at what went on at the Billboard Awards ceremony:

Remember to vote for Taylor for the 2011 CMT Music Awards. They take place in Nashville, Tennessee on June 8. Taylor is nominated for Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and Best Web Video of the Year. Go VOTE!
