Hello, Taylor Nation! Today the craziest thing happened to me on Broadway Avenue after lunch. There’s a bus there with a few people lined up. It’s an event sponsored by Sennheiser where you meet artists and hear them perform. Mallary Hope is on the list at 4pm. You’ve heard me mention her before on this blog. My iphone reads 3:56pm. I get in line! We get to go into the bus, me first and I meet Mallary! She was the sweetest thing! She gave us an acoustic set of three upcoming singles: Boomerang, You Don’t Know Me and Georgia Peaches.
You can find out more about Mallary Hope through her website at MallaryHope.com and her fan site MallaryHopeFans.com.

Broadway Avenue is where you want to be for the evening in Nashville. There’s a lot of bars, restaurants and BBQ grills (often they’re all that at the same time) which play live music. I made a stop earlier in the week at Robert’s Western World thanks again to a suggestion by Amos Heller. A burger, a corona and some old traditional country and bluegrass really hit the spot. There’s also some old style candy store/lunch place like Diana’s Sweet Shoppe where I was today and Mike’s Ice Cream Shop for your sweet tooth.

Of course this is me talking about Downtown Nashville for the most part. Tonight was a special night since the event Music City Gives Back was on. Rocking the stage was Patrick Davis, Mallary Hope, Josh Thompson, Thompson Square and the headliner for the night, Rodney Atkins. I actually took a break right in the middle of the event so I might have missed a performer or two.
The Outspoken One has added yet one more appearance to her already super busy schedule. She’s now on the roster to perform at the Concert 4 NYC that takes place at Central Park on June 9. The event is hosted by The Black Eyed Peas. You can read the full story on BroadwayWorld.com. Tickets for the event are available through blackeyedpeasnyc.eventbrite.com.
The CMT Awards are tomorrow night! The already much talked about Thelma and Louise skit featuring Shania Twain, Taylor Swift and Chord Overstreet will appear in the show’s opening. Also tomorrow, Taylor Swift’s Speak Now Tour arrives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
