Hello, Taylor Nation!
During an interview back in June with Mason and Remi from 93.7 The Bull, the Sparkly Dressed mentioned she knew what the next single was but she couldn’t tell them. Then she talked about how much her fans liked her song Sparks Fly and how much she payed attention to the lyrics she sees in T-shirts, signs and specially the ones people write on their faces.
Was she trying to reveal in her usual Taylor-esque way that it was the new single? Actually… yes!
I already blogged this, but here’s the interview again:
It’s official, Sparks Fly is the new single. You can see it on the header rollover at TaylorSwift.com. You can get it at iTunes here. The link seems to be directing you to the album version at the moment, I’ll update it if it changes.
And speaking about radio interviews, Taylor spoke to Jay-Jay, Mike and Dom from The Edge in New Zealand. I’ve hearing the rumor that Taylor will tour New Zealand at the end of year but I’ve gone over this interview several time and Taylor does say “have it in the works” but there is no date announced. Yes, Taylor did this interview before she got sick.
Actually, I did find something related to Australia (chances are Taylor would tour both New Zealand and Australia during the same leg) earlier this year. Remember this post? Based on that news, Taylor would have a concert in Australia in 2012.
Update: In this interview with radio station ZM 91.0 Taylor repeats her tour covering both Australia and New Zealand is in the works but does give a probable date approximation with “the end of next year” that would refer to 2012. That’s a maybe, it is not definitive. Thanks to tayswift.com for posting.
Finally, our congratulations go out to Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum for her engagement to drummer Chris Tyrell. According to People.com, their budding relationship was the inspiration for Just A Kiss. Chris dropped to one knee and popped the question during the 4th of July weekend.
From all of us at the Swift Agency, that’s one guy and a bunch of ninjas that never show up, we’re hoping that Taylor is getting some rest and recovering quickly.
