Hello Taylor Nation!
The Sparkly Dressed played the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday, July 29. She followed that with another soldout performance in Cleveland, Ohio at the Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday, July 30.At this time I’m considering dropping the idea of the Inside Speak Now articles since we’re quite into the tour… but at the same time I’ve noticed that while they’ve been a warning some, for other fans that will not have the chance to attend a concert they’re quite a treat.
The reviews are in.

For the review from The Star, the Indianapolis evening started with a little mystery due to the delayed audio on the big screens. I’ve noted this too (there’s some video processing to add effects like show it inside an oval window). The author figures it out later, as he guesses the layers of effects tacked on the video causes the delay, but the ridiculous idea that since Taylor is sounding in tune she must be lip synching is plain… ridiculous.
Evidence to that came from the acoustic set that the Enchantress performs well into the show where she’s the only voice and performer. You can then see and hear her truly shine.
The Arm Lyrics on July 29 in Indianapolis were: “He’d look just like you’d want him to some kind of slick chrome American prince.” – The Killers, A Dustland Fairytale.

Instead in Cleveland.com, the review found everything to their liking. There’s some sweet comments on Last Kiss that convinced me that the author of this article was not only listening but a fan of the Blond With The Sparkly Guitar. The sound was “a little muddy” – or at least so the author found.
Overall it was still a concert success with the Queen of Sparks been judged as an actual performer who’s grown up in age as well as in her craft.
The Arm Lyrics on July 30 in Cleveland were: “Don’t know why I’m still afraid if you weren’t real I would make you up” – Joseph Arthur, Honey & The Moon.
Paul Sidoti was particular thrilled with performing in his hometown. He donned a Browns jersey to show his support.
Here are the Covers for Indianapolis! She played John Cougar Mellencamp’s Jack And Diane and the Jackson Five’s I Want You Back. Did you know we know have a new Covers page?
And here are the Covers for Cleveland. Macy Grey’s I Try and Rascal Flatts’ My Wish.
You can find all the songs covered by the Enchantress over at the Covers page inside the Videos section.
