I wish you well: The Outspoken One in Memphis, Tennessee

Hello Taylor Nation 🙂

The Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar (who may have donned a couple of cat ears at some point) played the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee on October 30, 2011.

The Arm Lyrics were: “But darling, I wish you well on your way to the wishing well” from the song Nobody’s Crying by Patty Griffin.

So far we’ve heard that Mine and Dear John were not played in Memphis. The unofficial word (fans asking her during the T-Party, passed through the internet on Twitter) is that her voice is strained and she was advised to cut the most demanding songs. I’m curious if she sang Enchanted, which is not an easy song either.

She will have a few days to recover before her next concert in Houston on November 5th.

The fans on Memphis still got a treat as You Belong With Me was performed in a Halloween theme. Al Wilson became an angry bird, Caitlin Evanson a witch and Paul Sidoti was Gene Simmons from KISS. Grant Mickelson later regretted on Twitter that he didn’t go as Elvis.

The Dance Crew came out in full costume with Fernando Miro as Batman and Charity Baroni as Raggedy Ann.

The Sparkly Dressed donned some cat ears. We hear that cats are cool. Tay would love a cat. Can they travel on planes? Woah, I am blogging! Focus! Sorry, I was thinking about my laundry, what was I writing?

Update! T-Swizzle chose Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River as a cover. Let’s go to the video!

Ashley Sidoti was sweet enough to share a couple of pictures she took on Twitter. Of course she had to take a picture of Paul Sidoti in his Gene Simmons KISS boots.

  1. I was there, the second show on the tour I have seen, and Taylor was clearly not feeling well: she did not play “Mine” or “Dear John,” but she did play “Enchanted.” During her acoustic set, she had a little coughing fit between songs, and she insisted “I am not sick!” But she had another coughing attack during “Enchanted,” and was clearly struggling to sing in the high range of her voice all night long. She still gave a strong performance, but was off her usual game a little bit. I hope she gets a chance to get some rest, and does not extend the Speak Now tour deep into 2012, because she could probably use a break after the past five years.
