Scenes from Wonderstruck! And some Outspoken words about drinking and smoking.

Hello Taylor Nation,

Team Taylor has released a video compilation of the Outspoken One’s Wonderstruck appearances. I can see a few familiar faces here – besides the Sparkly Dressed of course. Take a look!

And you have probably heard of Taylor Swift’s interview on 60 minutes with Leslie Stahl.

“It would be really easy to say…I’m 21 now. I do what I want. You raise your kids. But…that’s not the truth of it. The truth of it is that every singer out there with songs on the radio is raising the next generation. So make your words count,” declared the Enchantress.

Here is the first clip:

There’s more though. In their special additional online content site, 60minutesovertime.com, Taylor reveals what she thinks about drinking and smoking. She has taken a drink, but there’s no particular affection for alcohol from the Queen of Sparks. Also, weed and tobacco are not something that she’d engage in since she’s mindful of her voice.

I really want to see 60 minutes now. It’s at 7pm ET/PT on CBS. Then change quick to ABC for the AMAs at 8|7c!

Taylor and the gang should be putting on a show at the RBC Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Hope everyone in attendance is enjoying themselves 🙂

A little bit of awesome: Elizabeth Huett sings :)

(Photo: Charlie Worsham)

Hello Taylor Nation,

She’s the talented, the beautiful, the lovely Elizabeth Huett. Even though she’s The Agency’s social butterfly and Taylor’s back up singer and partner in crime we’ve come to know and love, Liz once in a while tests her vocal chops with other artists during rest periods from scheduled performances.

She sang with Charlie Worsham on November 15. That’s her on the far left. I would like to see her as the main singer once in a while too 🙂

Here is video of Liz singing with Tyler Hilton on September 17, 2011 just after the Speak Now Nashville concerts. I wish I’d known. The song is Jenny Turn Around.

Note: The lyrics contain one swear word. I don’t consider this a big deal but I guess I’ll throw in the “parental advisory explicit content” warning.

Here’s a song written by Seth Jones, So Easy. That’s the talented Liz singing 🙂

This is Liz sound checking Love Story for Taylor for the Today Show on October 26, 2010 during the release week of Speak Now.

The Enchantress in Charlotte, NC! A Lorax featurette and a fan video for Mary’s Song

(Credit: Robert Lahser/Charlotte Observer)

Hello Taylor Nation,

The Sparkly Dressed played the Time Warner Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 16, 2011. According to the Charlotte Observer, the Outspoken One has such command of the stage that the amount of activity is close, but never enough, to take the spotlight from her. The article believes she struts like a runway model, is not up to par to a musical virtuoso but competent enough guitar and piano player and is not a professional dancer but has the hip swash to be attractive.

I’d agree for the most part, although I’d say she’s far more experienced with the acoustic guitar than people give her credit. Watch her during her acoustic set and you’ll see what I mean. She’s not doing any covers lately though.

I love the Queen of Sparks, but if I had to describe her dancing I’t say it’s awkwardly adorable. I love her, but she’s not the most coordinated dancer. Actually, let me rephrase that: I love her because she’s not the coordinated dancer.

By the way, a question that I’ve heard time to time is why most photos from reviews are from the first acts. That’s because most venues only allow the press to take photos at the beginning. That’s the reason most of the times we get pictures from Sparks Fly, Mine (yeah she’s playing this one again) and The Story Of Us.

The Arm Lyrics were: “I feel lost again but this time for the best.” – Gregory & the Hawks, For the Best.

You should read There’s Not Shame in Being At Taylor Swift Fan at the University of Tampa’s the Minaret. The article is a fan letter about coming clean as a Taylor Swift fan.

Here’s a featurette on the Lorax with Taylor Swift, Zac Efron, Danny DeVito, Betty White and more:

And this is a non-official, fan-made video for Mary’s Song (oh my my my) from the crew at MainStay Productions. This is fan made? Looks better than a lot of professional stuff! Take a look 🙂
