Hello Taylor nation!

Here at the Swift Agency, still one guy trying to keep up with the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar, we’re happy to report that according the official grammy site the Outspoken One will not only attend, but perform at the 54th Grammy Awards.

It’s a bit bittersweet considering Taylor’s last performance at the last Grammy Awards was impacted when a technical issue interrupted the sound in her earphones. Unable to hear any feedback, Taylor had to sing without hearing herself. That caused her to not properly hit some notes, making it her most criticized performance. Come February 12, the Queen of Sparks will get another chance to show the world what she can do. I can’t help but be anxious for this one.

Also announced to perform on the 54th Grammy Awards, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj. Jason is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for “Dirt Road Anthem,” Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Don’t You Wanna Stay” (with Kelly Clarkson), and Best Country Album for My Kinda Party.  Taylor is a four-time GRAMMY winner, and nominated this time for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for “Mean,” and Best Country Album for Speak Now.

No word on what song T-Swizzle will pick. It would be cool to hear Safe And Sound with The Civil Wars, who are nominated themselves for Folk Album of the Year for Barton Hollow and Country Duo or Group Performance. But that’s just my wish.

Here’s The Civil Wars with their nomination reactions.

It’s not up to us to speculate… We’ll be watching.

  1. Is that what happened? I haven’t ever read that about Taylor’s technical problem. All I ever read is Taylor can’t sing live. Too funny though since she has so many videos online where she sang great live. And my favorite live album ever is Speak Now World Tour Live. I’ve listened to that 278 times already. I hope Taylor puts those people in their place and shuts them up once and for all. She wasn’t even that bad in the video. You can tell she’s off but it isn’t horrible the way some people say it is.

    1. I agree with you on your last part. But I think the reason people overreacted to Taylor’s performance was because she won Album of the Year at the Grammys. You know, if Taylor hadn’t won anything, nobody would’ve cared.
Anyway, I’m sort of hoping Taylor sings “Mean.” It would be interesting to see it go full circle. The song, after all, originated after her performance at the Grammys…

      1. I think the main person Mean was about attacked Taylor for her performance, not for winning a Grammy. It would be great if she sings Mean but that song is getting older. She might want to sing Safe & Sound. I really don’t care which song she sings. She can sing Drops of Jupiter if she wants. Anything will be great.

    2. OK, forget what I said. Taylor just performed ‘Safe & Sound’ with The Civil Wars, so she might as well perform it at the Grammys.

  2. I hope Taylor Swift wins in the categories that she is nominated for:) I love Taylor alot she means everything to me. Love u Taylor!<3

    1. I hope so too. She deserves all three. I’m still mad she only got country nominations though. I hope they show the country part in one section. I have to watch it recorded anyway since I live on the west coast. Then I’ll just watch the country part and forget the rest. I don’t really care about any of the other stuff.

  3. Oooooohhhh, I think Mean is a good idea, too! .. because of the whole full circle thing.

And I do think she’s come a long way since last time. I know she didn’t mess up because she was bad, but she is better. She has much better control of her voice, which makes her live performances much more consistent.

All I know is I’m stoked that she’s going to be performing! 🙂
