Welcome to the 900th post! A thank you letter to all my readers. Thank you :)

Hello Taylor Nation,

This my 900th post! Back in November 2009, I started a blog to compile all news regarding the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar and The Agency. It started as a bit of an experiment. I was aiming to compile all news in one place and get rid of the huge banners and fan-created picture collages and just give you the story. I also wanted a different point of view of established news sites who seemed to completely ignore the history of the Sparkly Dressed’s rise and kept referring to outdated incidents or reporters who just got every single fact plain wrong. I also wanted to add some sort of humorous spin when the situation was right for it.

It’s been quite a trip, and in the meantime I’ve gotten some very nice feedback. To tell you the truth, I’ve always had a selfish reason for doing this: I like blogging. I like putting a funny but nice spin on all things Taylor and nothing would sadden me more than go big, have to run everything I write past a board, or have each post be written by someone else. Fortunately, there’s no danger of that happening. It’s always been a bit of an ego trip, so staying grounded is a constant challenge.

During the blog’s run, I’ve met quite a few of the people I write about. Al Wilson, Amos Heller, Caitlin Evanson, Daniel Sadownick, David Cook, Elizabeth Huett, Grant Mickelson, Mike Meadows and Paul Sidoti have been a blast to meet. I’ve also met Charity Barony, Claire Callaway, Dominique Kelley, Fernando Miro and Meredith Ostrowsky from the Residents. I had the chance to shake hands with Scott Borchetta. I have also sporadically blogged about other stars such as Mallary Hope and The Civil Wars, and met them in real life. The Enchantress is still missing from that list.

What’s next? Well, I’ve learned not to try to foresee the future and just take it one step at a time. Certainly T-Swizzle has more headlines to make, and I’m more than willing to write my own version of what happens. With unnecessary nicknames. Plus some song lyric references. And ninjas. Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone, one and all, for reading so far!

  2. You’re the only blog that I read daily and you actually verify the news, unlike many of today’s papers. I enjoy the little spins and your temporary segments on other artists. Your tireless dedication is very much appreciated by me and other Swifties. Keep up the good work and I hope you meet her someday, thank you.

  3. “I had the chance to shake hands with Scott Borchetta. ”

….yes, I would be proud to thank Scott Borchetta for his role in helping Taylor….

  4. I think I might have stumbled onto your site from the very beginning (it seems that way anyway). I love your style of writing, very dry and witty humour, a style that I’m sure Taylor herself would enjoy.

Everyday I check your site for a new post (and swear quietly when sometimes there isn’t one) as it is my one complete source of all Taylor news. I hope you have the motivation and longevity to keep going for may more posts and many more years.

    Thanks

  5. Congrats on 900 posts! I found your blog last summer while waiting for the Speak Now tour to come to town. Now I check it at least every third day or so.

  6. I’ve gotta say… I’ve never been one for ‘fansites’ so to speak, at least of musicians. However, I LOVE reading your blog. It’s funny, organized, well-written, up-to-date and intelligent. I also love that you’ve posted about The Civil Wars, since discovering them through Safe & Sound they’ve become my favorite band!

Just thought you should know you are awesome, keep up the amazing work and stay true!

  7. Nice going, buddy. I do enjoy your ruminations so thank you for sharing. Wishing you another 900 and looking forward to celebrating more of Taylor’s magic, including the next album, and hopefully, her third tour!

  8. Thank you for all of your hard work and being such a dedicated fan! I am glad you run things with your blog exactly the way you do because any different (like letting other people write) and it just wouldn’t match up to the superior quality of your writing that we get to read! You’re awesome, and so are your ninjas. ๐Ÿ˜‰
