The Sparkly Dressed gets three nominations for the 2012 CMT Music Awards

Get ready to vote again! Taylor Swift has three nominations for the 2012 CMT Music Awards. According to CMT, the Outspoken One is nominated for Video of the Year along with the Civil Wars for Safe And Sound, Female Video of the Year for Ours, and Collaborative Video of the Year once again with the Civil Wars for Safe And Sound.

You can vote now until June 4 to determine the winners. The 2012 CMT Music Awards airs live from Nashville on June 6.

The nominations were announced by Little Big Town on NBC’s Today Show. Leading the pack with five nominations is Carrie Underwood. Following her is Miranda Lambert who gets two nominations for her individual work and two as a member of the Pistol Annies trio. Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton and Thompson Square get three nominations each along with Taylor. The Civil Wars get two nominations for Safe And Sound.

And finally some rumor control. According to Variety, the Sparkly Dressed is in talks for the role of  real-life songstress Joni Mitchell in a biopic adaptation of Sheila Weller’s book “Girls Like Us.” However, also according to the same article she doesn’t have an official offer. The movie adaptation has not been given the green light for production yet. So this could be just buzz, and unless the Enchantress actually gets the role at some point in a movie that is not being produced yet, we might never know.
