Hello Taylor Nation,
Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who didn’t get the meaning behind the song Both Of Us until he saw the video, we’re still mesmerized. It’s really good. The video, a creation of acclaimed director Jake Nava, was released on MTV.com close to midnight last night, June 26. Now you can also find it on MTV Canada and YouTube.
The video shows B.o.B and Taylor as part of different faces of life, some urban and a few country ones as well, none of them too glamorous. You get a sense we’re just seeing them as regular people going about their everyday life. There’s this sense of honesty throughout the video that makes it seem warm and familiar like pictures from life in the United States, not of the rich and powerful but just of folks struggling by. It’s not sad, just real – even nice in a way. I’ve had my doubts on what the song was about until now, but now I’m seeing it (and listening to it) in a new light.
Let’s go to the official video!
