Hello Taylor Nation,
Here at the Swift Agency, still just one guy who’s going to remember this forever, we just had a bit of an out of body experience. Yes, I was online on the hangout and got to ask Taylor a question. I’ll get to that in a second. First of all, news! The new album will come out on October 22 and it’s called Red. The new single is called We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. The song is more than a bit humorous and the style is completely pop. Taylor even has some bits in which she talks and are just hilarious. It’s going to be a fun single. It’s on iTunes… it will get there internationally soon (err soon as in tonight or tomorrow, not soon as in a month as certain Blonde With A Sparkly Guitar would say).
The Princess in Red cut the album’s 16 tracks from a pick of 30 to 35 she had. She does mention these are 16 tracks on the standard version – possible deluxe versions might include more. As it came out from the questions asked, she will also include the typical cryptic messages. And she did unveiled the album’s cover that you see here.
Here’s the webchat if you missed it! Update: YouTube has updated the clip, you just need to click play.
I had the privilege to actually be in the Google+ Hangout and ask her one question: What is the most common or outrageous misconception that you’re ever read about yourself? The Enchantress answered she’s learned not to google herself or click on any links with her name on it, because she has seen so many cases where people get it wrong (this does tell me she used to do that, but finally stopped). I loved how she went on a tangent that was both goofy and funny to the point in which she asked me if her answer was ok. I said it was perfect. Any question that would elicit such funny response was worth asking! xD
No tour dates yet! She’s leaving that for later on… We’ll have to wait for that one a bit longer.
