We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together: Taylor talks about the new single

Hello Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, still one guy who knows there are busy days ahead, we’re pumped for the new album Red. The leading single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is out and climbing the charts at a break-neck pace. The song is already at the top of the overall songs charts on iTunes both in the US and Canada. The song with the longest title ever (like ever) from the Princess in Red’s studio album tracks is undeniably pop. We’re not holding that against her though.

Here’s the Queen of Sparks talking about the new single with Cynthia McFadden from ABC News.

According to E! Online’s Marc Malkin, the Enchantress will appear in Good Morning America on October 22 for an interview. She will also perform the very next day.

According to ABC News it all started out when a friend of Taylor’s ex-boyfriend came into the studio after having heard she was getting back together with her ex. Not the case. Max Martin and Johan Shellback were close by and heard the conversation. Taylor told ABC News, “When he leaves, Max and Johan are like, ‘Woah, what’s the story behind that?’ And so I start telling them the story of this just break up, get back together, break up, get back together, just, uh, the worst. And I picked up the guitar and I just — Max said, ‘This is what we’re writing.'”

The Sparkly Dressed will perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 22. No doubt she’ll be performing We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
