Hello music lovers,
Once in a while I like to highlight other acts that I’ve discovered via someone in The Agency or the Sparkly Dressed herself. In this case, most people will remember Tyler Hilton from the TV series One Tree Hill, as well as for his role as Drew in the video for Taylor Swift’s Teardrops On My Guitar. I discovered his music via the adorable Liz Huett, who has sang with him live. She also did some background vocals for Jenny on his latest album
I was looking forward to him coming to Montreal, but unfortunately life got in the way and I didn’t get tickets for his Montreal performance on Wednesday, October 4, 2012 at Il Motore. Sold out.
According to Confrontube Magazine, he exceeded expectations and put on one great show. Besides hits that I know such as Prince Of Nothing Charming (inspired by a Canadian girl, as he confessed during the show) and Jenny which he has sang with Liz Huett on stage in Nashville, he also sang his cover of John Waite’s Missing You, which he once sang on a duet with Taylor Swift, and his old hit from the show, When The Stars Go Blue.
You can read the full review at Confrontube Magazine.
Here’s a short clip from Tyler performing Jenny in Toronto, Ontario right outside before the show:
And I know I’ve posted this before, but here’s a clip from his performance of Jenny with Liz at 3rd and Lindsay in Nashville back on September 17, 2011.
Finally, some old school Taylor Swift for you. This is Missing You and based on the reference to the Teardrops video (filmed on March 2007) I’m going to guess this was posted right after it happened, on April 2007.
