Countdown to RED: T minus 4 days. New interviews about all things Red and Taylor Swift Revealed

(Photo: Frank Micelotta for VH1 Storytellers)

Greetings Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, still one guy that can at least claim he has asked one question directly at the Sparkly Dressed, we’re just hoping we can have a full interview one day. Yeah, right. We all know that’s as close as I’ll ever get. Like ever. I don’t want to mislead you, I’m super thankful to everyone who made that hangout happen! I know there’s a huge amount of fans of hers that have never gotten that close. The Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar (see she’s playing it right there) played at Harvey Mudd College on October 15.

UK’s The Guardian, who probably had like their names on nifty press passes and everything, had a chance to conduct an extensive interview with the Princess in Red. It’s a really well written article. I am so impressed because they asked deep questions and really got her to open up. Here’s some highlights.

This is the Enchantress talking about moments in time that she likes to capture with music:

“I’m really intrigued by that. Whether it’s taking a photograph, or painting a picture with your words that make a song as vivid as a photograph. I’ve always felt music is the only way to give an instantaneous moment the feel of slow motion. To romanticise it and glorify it and give it a soundtrack and a rhythm.”

About the passing of time:

“I think that one thing I’m really afraid of is … that magic doesn’t last,” she says. “That butterflies and daydreams and love, all these things that I hold so dear, are going to leave some day. I haven’t had a relationship that’s lasted for ever. I only know about them starting and ending. Those are my fears. I spend a lot of time balancing between faith and disbelief.”

And fairytales according to the Queen of Sparks?

“A fairytale is an interesting concept. There’s ‘happily ever after’ at the end, but that’s not a part of our world. Everything is an ongoing storyline and you’re always battling the complexities of life. But what I got from fairytales, growing up, was a beautiful daydream. I’m glad I had the craziest imagination and believed in all sorts of things that don’t exist.”

There’s another great interview from Digital Spy you also might want to check about. It’s a bit more on the traditional side, but it does reveal there’s an even more extensive world tour coming up. No details on where yet… you know I’d be all about those deets if they were out already. For now, REDOctober 22, 4 days!

Countdown to RED: T minus 4 days. The Princess in Red to perform at the 46th CMA Awards

(Source: CMA)

Hello Taylor Nation!

Let’s be honest, at some point this month it’s going to be really obvious that here at the Swift Agency, we’re just one guy. More than likely when I fall asleep from blogging too much. This is exhausting (not really). But don’t worry, I’m getting some sleep here and there. I enjoy blogging immensely. You just can’t tell because I hide it so well 🙂

Anybody watched the TV series Nashville last night? I saw a few things. Claire Callaway and Charity Lynne Baroni were dancers at the music video shoot for Juliette Barnes (called Telescope). Besides that one, there were other more country-style songs that are sounding in the background or on stage that are really giving this series its flavor. I also saw Taylor’s RED Target commercial and a promo that announced that the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar will be performing on the 46th CMA Awards!

Also announced were Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, Lady Antebellum, and Blake Shelton. They join previously announced performers: Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Paisley, The Band Perry, Underwood, and Zac Brown Band. The 46th CMA Awards, hosted for a fifth time by the dynamic duo of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, take place live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennesse on November 1st.

That promo is not available yet, but this one is the full interrupted promo series with Brad and Carrie:
