Hello Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s on a holiday break but he decided to send you one last post for 2012, we’d like to wish all our readers the best of the end of year’s festivities. I wish you only good things for 2013.

The Princess in Red is in New York City, probably ready to take the stage very soon at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. According to Grant, they finished soundchecking earlier.

The Sparkly Dressed arrived yesterday (December 30, 2012) on the Big Apple with a very busy schedule, no doubt. You can see more pictures at Celebrity Gossip.

Happy Holidays Taylor Nation!

Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who’s taking a few days off for the holidays, we’d like to send a happy birthday salute to Fearless Dance Crew member Lacey Mason. I’ve also added the acrobatic Fernando Miro from the Speak Now Tour to the Agency Profiles Page.

Digital Music News named Scott Borchetta among their 10 People That Totally Changed the Industry in 2012. According to them, “Borchetta’s had a deliciously disruptive 2012.  Big Machine is now inking some groundbreaking, direct licensing deals with major radio conglomerates, and chipping away at a decades-old legacy of extreme radio royalty complication.  He’s also shown the chutzpah to thumb his nose at Spotify, while maximizing revenue through deals that emphasize full album sales.”

Big Machine also reported on the news and added these very interesting highlights:

The Big Machine Label Group had a record-breaking year. Some of the key highlights include:

• Big Machine Records had the biggest album debut in over a decade with Taylor Swift’s RED released on October 22, 2012. The album is already Certified 3X Platinum and has earned over 7 million individual track sales.

• Big Machine made history with “groundbreaking” performance royalty rights agreements with Clear Channel and Entercom.

• Billboard named Big Machine Label Group as the #1 Country label for 2012.

• Achieved #1 singles across multiple radio formats with hits from Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, The Band Perry and Florida Georgia Line.

• Big Machine Records signed county music superstar Tim McGraw.

• Earned multiple GRAMMY, ACM, CMA, and VMA awards and nominations.

• Marketed and distributed music for ABC’s “Nashville,” which debuted as the #1 soundtrack on SoundScan.

• The label group helped secure millions of meals for hungry Americans through a unique partnership with General Mills and Feeding America called “Outnumber Hunger.”

• Produced and marketed the 25th anniversary edition of A VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS in association with the Special Olympics

The Big Machine Label Group is looking forward to a successful 2013 with launches from Tim McGraw (2/5), The Mavericks (2/26), The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, and many more!

Happy Holidays Taylor Nation!

Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who’s going to take some time off to stress – I mean, relax – with family and relatives, we’d like to wish Claire Callaway a happy birthday! Or like Grant Mickelson would say, a happy birfday. The recurring dance crew member celebrated early with The Agency.

There’s a good chance I’m not  covering the Princess in Red performance in New York City on December 31 for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. I’ve got family plans that night. You probably do too. Expect a post a few days later.

The Sparkly Dressed spends time in Los Angeles. And a retraction.

Hello Taylor Nation 🙂

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s going to be away for the holidays. we’re probably not going to be covering the Princess in Red performance in New York City on December 31 for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

The Enchantress is spending time in Los Angeles, California, according to Gossip Center. It’s mostly gossip, but you can believe the pictures at least.

Here’s a retraction – and I know nobody does this anymore, but I do (I do). Despite the reports by Country Weekly, I’m going to retract my previous post about Taylor returning to Australia. She doesn’t appear to be headed there.

The original source of the news appears to be ABC News Radio, who announced on December 18, “she’s headed to sunny Australia”. However, I have found reasons to think this is no more than a reprint from her earlier visit this month. Namely, the fact that Big Machine Records has a post with the same quotes about the visit in past tense. See, grammar is important here. That clears it up for me. Sorry for the confusion everyone, that was meant to be about her last visit.

The Princess in Red remains at the top of the charts!

Hello Taylor Nation!

Here at the Swift Agency, still a guy who’s trying hard not to get sick in a winter wonderland (cough), we’re just letting you know that RED remains at the top of the album charts. It did dropped to number 2 a couple of weeks ago, but it gained back its spot.

The new Bruno Mars album came out moving an respectable 187,339 units, but it wouldn’t be enough. The former Outspoken One’s fourth album actually went up 22% to a respectable 203,333 and gaining the top spot once again. You can see the full album sales list at HITS Daily Double.

According to Country Weekly, Taylor fans in Australia will have an extra reason to rejoice this Christmas. The Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar will visit them during the holiday season to promote her album RED. Thanks to Isabelle Swift‏ for the heads up!

Update! I found the source of this news appears to be ABC News Radio. However, I have found reasons to doubt this is no more than a reprint from her earlier visit this month. Namely, the fact that Big Machine Records has a post about the visit in past tense. That clears it up for me. Sorry for the confusion everyone, that was meant to be about her last visit.

She’s expected back in New York City on December 31 for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

On feline news, here’s Meredith informing Tay that her song is on the radio. That or she wanted to play.
