Hello Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, still a guy who… never mind. I just managed to see the music video for I Knew You Were Trouble that premiered today, December 13, on MTV.

The Fearless One has come full circle. According to Country Music Is Love, newly signed Big Machine recording artist Tim McGraw has released the track list of his upcoming album Two Lanes of Freedom. On the thirteen spot, Tim is joined by good friends Taylor Swift and Keith Urban to sing Highway Don’t Care. A very meta move that will more than likely guarantee a duet (or a trio) performance live at some concert. We wouldn’t mind it that happens next September at the RED Tour concert in Nashville. Just saying. But if that happens, I totally called it.

MTV, a Viacom company, will propagate the IKYWT video across all its partner networks but otherwise hold a monopoly on it for a while longer. That means, MTV Networks (which includes CMT) will be the only place to see it momentarily. Hopefully a little later tonight it will be released on VEVO / YouTube and we can share it with you. In the meantime, this is as best as I can do.

Thanks to Pablo Kutavyz for posting. Swifties can see the official MTV video here.

The German TV show Schlag den Raab will have the Princess in Red as their musical guest this week, December 15. I don’t know whether this is a live performance or a recorded one.

Hello Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, just one guy who wrote a blog as his idea of a birthday gift to T-Swizzle, we think we just got upstaged. While we’re all standing around Tay singing “Happy birthday to you”, the Golden Globes just gave the Sparkly Dressed and the Civil Wars a nomination for Original Song for Safe and Sound from The Hunger Games motion picture. Best birthday present ever. Way to upstage us, Hollywood Foreign Press Association!

The Golden Globes air on NBC on January 13. The chances of the Queen of Sparks winning a Golden Globe are slim because – wait, did I just say January thirteen? Okey… the odds may be slightly in her favor for this one.

And just so you know, the Oscars are announced on Thursday, January 10, 2013. There’s an Oscar rule that says that the Original Song has to play within the movie’s body or at least at the very start of the end credits… So if that guideline is followed to the letter, Safe and Sound is not in the race since it wasn’t the first song that played in the credits. We’ll see what happens.

The music video for I Knew You Were Trouble will premiere today, Thursday December 13, at 4:40 p.m. ET on MTV.

The German TV show Schlag den Raab will have the Princess in Red as their musical guest this week, December 15. I don’t know whether this is a live performance or a recorded one.

Happy 23rd Birthday to the Princess in Red, Taylor Swift!

Hello Taylor Nation,

It’s her birthday. You know who. The Princess in Red, Sparkly Dressed, Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar, Enchantress, Queen of Sparks, T-Swizzle, Outspoken One and Forever and Always Fearless One is now 23 years old. In those years, she’s proven herself more than a singer/songwriter. She’s become her own manager, producer, live on stage actress, consumate performer, savvy businesswoman and overall the most successful artist to the point that she transcends genres and becomes her own. A Taylor Swift song can be country, pop, rock, folk, americana, urban and even hip hop.

Besides her undeniable status as teenage idol and role model, she’s also become a fashion icon. Not to mention her stages rival a broadway musical, with each tour surpassing the previous one.

She was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania on December 13, 1989 and named Taylor Alison Swift by her parents Andrea and Scott Swift… ok you know that already a hundred times over.

In this, the day of her 23 years of age, we Taylor fans, Swifties, Taylorgeeks, Swiftholics and every other denizen of the ever growing Taylor Nation we’d like to scream and sing and shout happy birthday. Here at the Swift Agency, one guy and a bunch of make-believe ninjas that have promised for once not to steal the cake, we’re just immensely proud to call her the muse behind our blog writing. We hope one day to get to meet her personally and awkwardly stumble through words just say… you make keep writing, Tay. Thank you.

And just so we’re clear, I still expect you to change the world – but take your time, it doesn’t have to happen tonight. Have the greatest of birthdays, Sparkly Dressed 🙂
