Showcase: The Civil Wars’ 20 Years Official Music Video winner

Hello music fans,

I know there’s an award show coming up tonight but this post is long overdue. As you know, The Civil Wars are on hiatus after announcing they cancelled their remaining tour dates after citing irreconcilable differences regarding tour dates. They also said they hoped to have new music this year. We here at the Swift Agency still hold a glimmer of hope of seeing John Paul and Joy on stage performing together again.

A sure sign would be for them to appear at the 55th Grammy Awards and perform Safe and Sound with the Enchantress. Don’t you dream impossible dreams… then again sometimes they’re worth having. They keep you young.

The americana-folk duo held a contest for a music video for their track 20 Years at the end of 2012. They announced the winner on December 11, 2012 and posted the video on their official YouTube channel:

Greetings Taylor Nation,

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who really should have gone to bed a lot earlier right now so he’s not a zombie today, we… Zzz… Huh what? Oh, we’re blogging. I’m going to get some coffee.

The Grammys just released the first batch of performers via Twitter, and the Sparkly Dressed is scheduled to take the stage as well as Rihanna, Mumford and Sons, the Black Keys and Fun. I always have to name them last because of that period. The 55th Grammy Awards air live on CBS on February 10.

Taylor has three nominations: Record of the Year for We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Best Country Duo/Group Performance with the Civil Wars and Best Song Written For Visual Media both for Safe and Sound with the Civil Wars. No word if she will perform either of those songs or go with something else.

I’d love for her to go with Safe and Sound and a reappearance of the Civil Wars, but one could say the stronger choice is WANEGBT due to the Record of the Year nomination. However, T-Swizzle could just surprise you and go for something else. I guess you never know, you never know.

The Sparkly Dressed will also be attending the Golden Globes. E! Online’s Marc Malkin confirmed it to @belleswift17.

Hi Taylor Nation.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s anxious to see the Sparkly Dressed on TV, we’re happy to see this picture of the Enchantress in Brentwood, a district in western Los Angeles on Tuesday (December 8, 2013). I’m hoping she’s not just tied together with a smile but I know Tay is stronger than a lot of people give her credit for. I prefer to avoid the rumor mill so I’m not going to address any tabloid stuff.

You can see more pictures, albeit with some gossip, at Celebrity Gossip.

The official Taylor Nation twitter also confirmed the Sparkly Dressed will be attending the People’s Choice Awards 2013 today Wednesday, January 9 at 9/8c on CBS. She’s not scheduled to perform… so far at least. She has three nominations: Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Song for We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

The RED, ahem, the red carpet starts at 8pm Eastern Time and will be seen online via ustream. A shoutout to @Jencita for the heads up 🙂
