Countdown to The RED Tour: The music video for 22 is coming up Wednesday, March 13!

It seems like the perfect night, Taylor Nation.

Here at the Swift Agency… actually, let’s leave it to the professionals this time. This is an excerpt from the news release at TaylorSwift.com:

Taylor will release the music video for “22,” the third pop single from her 5 million plus-selling album RED, this Wednesday, March 13th. ABC’s “Good Morning America” will air an exclusive 30-second preview of the video, along with a brief intro from Taylor, on Wednesday morning’s broadcast, and the full video will premiere on www.abcnews.com and gma.yahoo.com at 8:30 a.m. ET. Big Machine Records will release the video to all outlets at 11:30 a.m. ET on the 13th.

“22” is the fourth single from RED — the disc’s previous singles (“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Begin Again,” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.”) all reached #1.  Filmed last month in Malibu, and directed by Anthony Mandler, “22” features a cast of Taylor’s real-life friends.

Taylor kicks off her highly anticipated The RED Tour this week with sold-out shows in Omaha, Nebraska on March 13th and 14th. The North American portion of The RED Tour will play 66 shows (including 13 stadium stops) in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces spanning 6 months in 2013.

Show of hands, who will be at work when that happens… oh well, I’ll just have to catch up later. You can read the full news release at TaylorSwift.com.

On other news, Taylor Talk released their 54 episode. It’s an all male panel for this special episode, featuring Adam, Eric, Steve and… well, still just a guy who blogs about The Agency and the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar. Yes, I had the rare honor of being part of the panel. Thanks to Adam for the invite and the other guests for putting up with yours truly. You can listen to the episode on TaylorSwift13.org.

Countdown to the RED Tour is T minus 2 days.

We’re gonna fly away from here: Lauren “Lolo” Hacker, Natalie Hill and Emma Routh

Never grow up, Taylor Nation.

The Enchantress made an unofficial stop before The RED Tour to fulfill a wish. She met 5th grader Lauren “Lolo” Hacker, thanks to the online campaign to her parents, friends and concerned strangers throughout social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Lauren is battling cancer.

According to her father, Phil, the Princess in Red “spent about an hour chatting with Lauren and Jonathan. Jonathan played a song on the ukulele for her. Lauren got in on the act and played a song on the electronic piano key board that she got for her birthday.  Taylor was very impressed with both performances. I don’t mean ‘polite impressed’.  I mean ‘real impressed’. Taylor shared stories from her childhood as she was getting her start as an entertainer and she told us all about the special stage designs of her new show. She posed for photos with everyone.”

Here at the Swift Agency, one guy who – never mind. We are happy for Lauren 🙂 You can read the full story at Caring Bridge.

There’s also Emma Routh, a little 7 year old girl from Larue, Texas. She’s battling a disease called Fanconi Anemia. She had the promise on tickets for a Taylor Swift concert from a benefactor, but that fell through for reasons that are irrelevant. Her parents and friends are now campaigning for her to get meet and greet passes to the concert in Charlotte. You can find more information on her page Prayers For Emma or EmmasArmy.org.

A little tip… if you feel inclined to write a post yourself. When you first introduce a person by name, don’t put the word “cancer” or the name of their affliction in the same sentence. Describe them for their life, not for the cause of their suffering.

Hell, if it were possible, I’d never put the word in there at all.

As The RED Tour approaches – and it’s coming fast, I just want to take the chance and say don’t forget about Natalie Hill. I talked about her back on Fan Spotlight: Natalie Glenn Hill’s bucket list. She’s battling bone cancer. As she goes through her bucket list, she’s wishing on meeting the Queen of Sparks. You can find more about Natalie on her page Natalie Hill Updates.
