Hey Taylor Nation, go wish Grant a Happy Birfday! 😉

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who can’t believe it’s April 30 already, we’re honored to have met The Agency’s Grant Mickelson a few times. One of the early members of the band who would be The Agency, Grant has been with the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar since she started touring – and long before she was headlining. Mention Abraham Lincoln, packing a briefcase, a cat named Marilyn or his famous hairstyle and Grant’s name comes to mind.

The Agency’s lead guitar player is a native of Sioux City, Iowa. He started off playing guitar on high school talent shows, at church and on bars. He moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University, and joined Swift’s band after touring with Sara Evens, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Lady Antebellum. His guitar skills have also appeared on the Sparkly Dressed’s Fearless and Speak Now albums.

You can learn more about Grant on his Agency Profile: Grant Mickelson.

The Queen of Sparks has been confirmed to perform at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball 2013. The event takes place at Wembley Stadium in London, UK on June 9. This means she will probably be leaving Nashville after her CMA Fest performance at LP Field on June 7. Hope you are voting for Taylor Swift for the Billboard Milestone Award. The 2013 Billboard Music Awards take place on May 19.
