I don’t know how it gets better than this, Taylor Nation.
The Fearless One played at the Houston Toyota Center last night, May 16. There’s an excellent review from the Houston Chronicle that says, “It’s to Swift’s credit that amid so much flash and sparkle, she never gets lost. Her mischievously sweet personality is what carries every moment, every song, every stage trick, from top to bottom.” You can also read more reviews at Culture Map Houston and the c.
Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who thinks you shouldn’t be dancing in a storm because you’ll catch a cold, we’re glad to reveal that the classic song was Fearless. This time, instead of just mentioning it, let me tell you why I love this song.
This song is old school Taylor at her best. What makes Fearless so classic is exactly the opposite of pop. It’s a song about a perfect date, meant to be sang slowly and works even better acoustic. The song is not about dancing and doesn’t make you want to dance, but it does make you remember all those times you wanted to dance with that one person. The lyrics feel like raindrops on a windshield, you don’t notice them unless you’re really listening – and if you’re not listening then this song is not for you. The music is subtle yet enticing. It’s not the perfect song, but it comes really, really close.
Capture it, remember it. Thanks to kelanth462 for posting! Also, I’m sending a shoutout to @GenaGabrielle, just because.
