You’re the song in the car I keep singing, Taylor Nation.

Here at the Swift Agency, still a guy who hopes to get some sleep at night, we know that there’s a fat chance of that as June draws near and with it, CMA Fest.

The Blonde With The Sparkly Red Guitar made a lot of fans happy last night at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. There’s a good review on the San Antonio Express.

The secret song last night was Teardrops On My Guitar.

Correction: I wrote that Teardrops had won a Grammy, and it was one of the two songs that had done that. Both were incorrect statements. There are three songs that have won Grammies: White Horse, Mean & Safe And Sound. My apologies.

Teardrops On My Guitar was written with Liz Rose. It’s old school Taylor at her best, but as she plays it live you can hear some changes in the arrangement that the Sparkly Dressed probably thought of adding to that song a while ago, but never got the chance to use them. For me, it really cast new light into the melody.

  1. It’s possible I miss a criteria in your Grammy count on Taylors songs, but Mean and White Horse have indeed won Grammy’s in addition to Safe & Sound, yet Teardrops have not…

    1. You are right. I completely mixed up Teardrops with White Horse and forgot Mean. Thanks for your help! Corrected.

  2. No problemo 🙂 You do such a good job in keeping it real so a rare glitch is absolutely forgivable!
