Music city is starting to get busier by the second.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who’s blogging at 4am, we know how we make a ton of typos at this time of the night (or day) so be gentle. Thanks to friends of friends I was able to see Craig Wiseman and friends at the legendary Ryman last night, June 4. The event benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

The Ryman Auditorium was the original home to the Opry in Nashville, and remains one of the prime venues for Country Music – and music events in general. Last night it was no exception as Craig introduced several of his songwriting friends to the audience. In addition, he had some celebrity friends as well. An artist I was thankful to see perform live was Ronnie Dunn. Although everyone knows his hits as one half of legendary duo Brooks and Dunn, I specially enjoyed his song Cost of Livin’ that he wrote with songwriter Phillip Coleman.

The big number of the night was the now rising country group Florida Georgia Line, who had a surprise guest – hip hop singer Nelly. The band would eventually go on to finish the night with their acclaimed hit Cruise. Sorry, I don’t have a clip of that one. Here’s a video clip from Steve Ditch when they performed Nelly’s Ride Wit Me.

Taylor has two nominations for the 2013 CMT Awards, Video of the Year for We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and Female Video of the Year for Begin Again. The show airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on June 5, 2013. Also, don’t forget she’s performing at the LP Field for CMA Fest on June 6.
