Now I’m lying in the cold hard ground, Taylor Nation.
Here at the Swift Agency, I’m still guy that is feeling 42 and I sometimes I still don’t know what I want, so don’t us – we’re still trying to figure it out. Just like any other citizen of the Taylor Nation, I often get uncanny responses directly from the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar. The Princess in Red sat with E! Latin News Coffee Break for a very candid interview. No, she didn’t really reveal any secrets, but I like it when she doesn’t give out the same answers.
“I think when you’re heartbroken you need music more than when you’re not,” she told E! Latin‘s Patricia Zavala. “There’s something so beautiful about people who are heartbroken; they think about how they’re feeling much more. I think when you’re happy and when you’re in love, you don’t need to think about it, it’s just there. Love is one of those things that is so simple, you don’t need to think about it when it’s good, you only need to think about it when it’s bad, so when music is all that you have and you’re lonely or you’re missing someone and you write a song that says exactly how you feel, there is sort of a gratification you get from that, it almost helps you move on”
Let’s go the video. There’s some RED tour spoilers! You’ve been warned.
Thanks and a big shoutout to rayalvim / @rayalvim for giving me a heads up… and posting the interview! I particularly was struck by this little bit, because I can apply it to my own craft:
“I think it’s important to give yourself time to just stop writing. I’ve been writing here and there but when I’m making an album I’m writing every day. You need to just take a second to clear out your brain.”
I really needed to hear that. Thanks, T 🙂
