RED Tour Sacramento: Tay and Gary Lightbody sing The Last Time live for the first time!

This is the last time I’m asking you this, Taylor Nation.

Here at the Swift Agency, still a guy who’s not sure how he got there, we’re putting the Enchantress’ name at the top of the list. The Princess in Red played in Sacramento last night. You can read an article on the show at the Sacramento Bee and CBS Sacramento. I’d call them reviews, but that would require the authors to give an opinion. One too many articles do that lately. At least CapitalFM‘s article is a bit more thorough.

The Queen of Sparks brought out special guest Gary Lightbody to perform one of the most underrated songs from the RED album: The Last Time. The song is power ballad that has the unique distinction of being one of the rare tracks in which the first thing you hear is not Taylor’s voice, but Gary’s. It’s never been performed live before. It’s nice that this song, buried deep in RED’s second half of tracks, gets the spotlight for once. Hopefully it’s only the first time we hear it and not the last…
