It’s a start, Taylor Nation.
The Princess in Red was not attending FOX Network’s American Country Awards last night. She might be the only person that can break the tendency in fan-voted awards that winners are usually in attendance. Taylor Swift won World Wide Artist of the Year which she accepted via video from Australia.
Thanks to taytaylove13 for posting! She also won Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration and Music Video of the Year: Group or Collaboration both for “Highway Don’t Care” with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. The song also won Song of the Year.
Here’s T-Swizzle’s acceptance speech:
Hey guys, it’s Taylor.
I’m so sorry that I can’t be with you tonight but I’m still thankful that you decided to give me this ACA Worldwide Artist of the Year.
Appropriately, I’m actually on the other side of the world right now, that’s why I can’t be there. I’m playing a show tonight in Sydney, Australia. And I’m so happy that you decided to honour touring worldwide. It’s such an amazing part of my life, writing songs and then getting to play them all over the world to audiences who are singing every single lyric back to you whether or not it’s an English speaking country. It’s really cool for you to honour that, I really appreciate that! And thank you, thank you, thank you! Have an amazing night!
