So I’ll watch your life in pictures…
Here at the Swift Agency, still a guy who could use some extra sleep, we’re hoping to catch the issue of Glamour at the newsstands soon. The Princess in Red graces the cover of Glamour for their March 2014 and 75th anniversary issue. Here’s a snippet of the interview with Glamour’s Cindi Leive concerning the yet to be named 5th album:
CL: It seems to be working- you’ve had this mega year. You’re now the first woman in history to spend six weeks or more at number one with three consecutive studio albums.
TS: Wow. I don’t keep up with my own press, apparently! {Laughs} This year has been so fast; I’m finally getting to step back and enjoy what it’s meant for Red to do so well. It’s like the difference between being inside a snow globe and getting to take it off the shelf, shake it up, and see how pretty it is. I try to enjoy what’s happening now, but then again, I have to pack my bag tonight for the trip Im taking tomorrow. Working on this {next}} album has been unbelievable.
CL: How’s it going so far?
TS: I’m already in love with it. It’s so different.
CL: What’s the new sound?
TS: On Red I did three songs with Max Martin and Shellback- “we Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and “22.” {All three made Billboard’s Hot 100 top 20.} I think we’ll be doing a lot more than three songs together on the next album. {Laughs}
CL: I definitely think of your albums as an evolution. It’s not like you’re trying on a completely different persona with each one.
TS: I’m not trying to shed my skin. I’m trying to be a new version of the person I’ve been m whole life. That’s what held my fans and me together. For a group of millions, it’s odd how close I feel to them.
