The 49th ACM Awards took place in Las Vegas last night, Sunday April 6. Taylor Swift was in attendance. She was a featured artist of the Video of the Year which went to ”Highway Don’t Care” with Tim McGraw (featuring Taylor Swift & Keith Urban). The award was given on the pre-telecast. Tay didn’t get her other nominations.
Entertainer of the Year went to the timeless George Strait who deserves it several times over. Album of the Year went to Kacey Musgraves’ Same Trailer, Different Park which was a pleasant surprise as it was my favorite but not the one I thought would win. Miranda Lambert won her sixth straight Female Vocalist while Male Vocalist went to Jason Aldean. Big Machine had several wins in their corner with The Band Perry winning Vocal Group, Florida Georgia Line winning Vocal Duo, Justin Moore winning New Artist of the Year and the Video of the Year for Highway Don’t Care.
The Queen of Sparks presented the Vocal Duo of the Year award to Big Machine’s label buddies Florida Georgia Line. Let’s go to the video!
