Up here in the Great North (Canada) things are starting to get chilly. Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy enjoying some orange spice tea, we’re actually going to be busy the next month as we move to the other side of the tundra in search of a spacier igloo. Unfortunately, the last days of October are also the days of the release of certain album by the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar, but that’s life for you. As coincidences go, I’m sure if it’s in the cards I will somehow find the time.
Did you hear about the 1989’s secret sessions? Taylor Swift and her management team did a wonderful work of getting together a group of fans to attend a secret event. The event was a visit to Taylor’s house in Los Angeles for lunch, meeting her folks, her cats (Meredith was uncooperative, not a big surprise but Olivia even appears in pictures) and of course the Princess in Red herself. The album was played but the guests were sworn to secrecy concerning track names and lyrics. You can see pictures on Twitter through hashtag #1989secretsessions and there’s a summary on Buzzfeed. Please be nice, most of the guests have stated they’ve never been selected for something like that before.
Finally certain dates have started to be confirmed, so we’ve got Taylor Swift performing at the We Can Survive 2014 event at the Hollywood Bowl on October 24. There is also finally a confirmation of Lightning-on-her-feet performing on Good Morning America according to GMA via Twitter on October 27, the very day of the 1989 album release!
NBC’s The Voice starts tonight. However, you should know that the Sparkly Dressed will not make an appearance until the coaches start training their teams. So expect the auditions to go on for a few weeks. That’s why I’ve chosen the date as September 22-? for Taylor’s appearance. I’m pretty sure we’ll hear about it the minute that she appears.
The X-Factor Australia’s official Twitter account confirmed that Taylor will be performing on the show’s grand finale in October. Taylor will probably do a lightning trip to Australia to promote her album 1989 out on October 27. The Sparkly Dressed is nominated for Best Female and Best Look at the 2014 MTV EMA on November 9.
