Out Of The Woods preview! Out at midnight tonight (Oct 13-Oct 14)

Lyrics up ahead, Taylor Nation.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who knows were we are and is not asking for directions, we’re sure we’ll be Out Of The Woods by the next bend. No, I don’t need to look at the map again. Good Morning America aired about fifteen seconds of the track which sounded great except when they chose to speak halfway into it. Still, we managed to catch the chorus. Frantic but upbeat.

This is what I managed to catch:

Rest of the world is black and white
We were in screaming color
Are we out of the woods yet, are we out of the woods yet
Are we out of the woods yet, are we out of the woods yet
Are we in the clear yet, are we in the clear yet
Are we in the clear yet, are we in the clear yet…

– Taylor Swift, Out Of The Woods

You can check iTunes later on at midnight (that’s midnight Monday-Tuesday, not right now) to grab it along with the 1989 album pre-sale if you don’t have it yet. In case you do, it should just become available shortly after midnight (and by shortly I mean it takes a bit).

Here’s what Taylor had to say about the song via PR Newswire:

‘Out Of The Woods’ is one of my favorite songs on 1989. A goal of mine on this album was to set a sonic landscape and have the music sound exactly the way the emotions felt. This song is about the fragility of some relationships. Musically, I wanted to convey that kind of frantic feeling of wondering. This song stresses that even if the relationship is breakable and fragile, it doesn’t mean it isn’t worthwhile and beautiful and all the things we look for.
