We’re running low on 2014, Taylor Nation.

The Blonde With The Sparkly 1989 Microphone sat down with Barbara Walters for her special Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who would have made an entire mini-series about her if he could, we were expecting her segment to be a little tad longer. Not that we’re biased or anything.

The Lightning On Her Feet mentioned that she waited until she was 21 years old to drink. She also made sure not to even appear to be drinking because she knows her every movement is watched. “That’s the reality,” Taylor told Barbara. “If I do something reckless or thoughtless or careless, or I treat someone badly, that doesn’t just affect me; it affects that person. Then, if that story gets out, or some 10-year-old sees that I did that in a news article… my actions do have ripples.”

Taylor sees her fandom’s faith in her helping her live a better life. “It’s kind of nice thing to keep you in check to live a good life. It’s not like some gilded golden cage that people make it out to be. Living your life the ‘right way’ and trying to make ‘good decisions’ is not necessarily some horrible penalty.”

A shoutout to Taylor Swift Archive for posting!

The Taylor Swift Experience is now open at the GRAMMY museum until May 10, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. You can watch ET Online’s first look here. Taylor Swift will be the headliner at New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on December 31.
