I’ll give you a hint, Taylor Nation. The last name is not a cardinal direction where the Sun sets.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who once won a prize in high school for getting to the finish line in last place, we’re not much for competition. Neither is the Lighting-On-Her-Feet singer/songwriter but nowadays she’s first in line on a craft that suits her best.

Taylor Swift just got awarded the top spot as the biggest recording artist of 2014 according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) according to the UK’s OfficialCharts.com site. The not-for-profit international organization compiles digital and physical music sales, as well as on-demand audio and video streams from 66 countries around the world, including the UK’s very own Official Charts.

Taylor has sold 510,000 units of her 1989 album in the United Kingdom alone since its release back in October 2014, when it was the #1 album. You can read more on the original story at OfficialCharts.com.
