The struggle is real, Taylor Nation.
Here at the Swift Agency, just another of those guys that cancelled his cable because that money tree has yet to grow any green, we’re hoping for glimpses of the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar on social media. If you’re lucky enough to live in the US, the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on NBC at 8pm Eastern Time, 7pm Central and tape-delayed at 8pm Pacific Time. You can also watch on NBC.com/live if you are in the United States.
The Lightning On Her Feet will be attending, based on the pics I’ve seen of her chair. We should get some adorkable dancing on camera. Taylor Swift is nominated for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Shake It Off”, Best Fan Army for the Swifties, and Lyrics of the Year for “Blank Space”.
Based on the unwritten rules of the game, she has good chances since she’s attending. Odds are the organizers will try to spread the love around and give something for everyone. Taylor is a shoe-in for all three, she should at least be getting Lyrics of the Year for “Blank Space”. Then again, not everyone is in on the fact that the song is a parody of the mainstream media’s perception of her.
As for the Swifties (aka the Taylor Nation, I’m old school here) being Best Fan Army, don’t take it personally if we lose. Yes, I know it would be nice to be recognized. We’re always there for Taylor only because of Taylor, so awards don’t factor in at all.
