She’s the eternal overachiever, Taylor Nation.
The Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar has 14 nominations for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. They’re 14 nominations in 13 categories. Wait, you might say – thinking I made a typo, you can’t have more nominations than categories! Well, you can… if you are nominated twice in the same category. Here we go:

- Top Artist
- Top Female Artist
- Top Billboard 200 Artist
- Top Hot 100 Artist
- Top Digital Songs Artist
- Top Radio Songs Artist
- Top Social Artist
- Top Streaming Artist
- Top Billboard 200 Album for 1989
- Top Hot 100 Song for “Shake It Off”
- Top Digital Song for “Shake It Off”
- Top Streaming Song (Video) for “Blank Space”
- Top Streaming Song (Video) for “Shake It Off”
- Billboard Chart Achievement Award (presented by Samsung Galaxy) Fan-voted
Yes, that’s not a typo. Taylor has two videos nominated for Top Streaming Song (Video). Someone really, really wants Taylor to come to their show. She totally can do it, she is in Las Vegas, NV for the Rock in Rio USA on May 15.
On a side note, the artist who has won more BBMA’s ever is Garth Brooks with 19 awards (not all of them at the same time). T-Swizzle would need to win seven awards to match him and eight to become the artist with more BBMA awards. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, she doesn’t have to break all records in one night. Although, if there was an artist to do that, who else?
The 2015 Billboard Music Awards are broadcast live from MGM Grand Central Arena in Las Vegas, NV on ABC on May 17 at 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central. No word on when voting starts for the Billboard Chart Achievement Award yet, but we’ll let you know for sure 🙂
