So casually cruel in the name of being honest, Taylor Nation.

We’re two nights in with three more concerts to go and already the highlights of the 1989 World Tour concerts in Los Angeles, California are all kinds of awesome. The Staples Center has already been the witness to Ryan Tedder from One Republic performing Counting Stars, Mary J. Blige singing two songs with Taylor: Doubt and Family Affair, and Uzo Aduba showing her musical chops in a duo with the Enchantress singing the classic White Horse. Add to that an acoustic surprise version of All Too Well and you have a lot of fans not in attendance jealous of the entire audience.

Also, Kobe Bryant came out to present Taylor with her own banner for 16 sold-out shows

Uzo really put some fire into her performance! White Horse won the Grammy for Best Country Song back in 2010. The other two songs that Taylor has specifically won Grammies for are Mean for Best Country Song in 2012 and Safe And Sound (featuring the Civil Wars) for Best Song Written For A Visual Media (The Hunger Games) in 2013. Mary J. Blige was also amazing and had words of praise for the Blonde With The Sparkly 1989 Microphone. Read Chris Willman’s article on that on Yahoo! Music.

Sean O’Pry walked the catwalk during Style. He really should’ve appeared during Blank Space, since that’s the video he’s in, but Style is the one with the cameos. Chris Rock and Matt LeBlanc also appeared because of some reason.

On other news, Wildest Dreams has been announced to premiere on the VMA pre-show on Sunday, August 30 at 8/7c on MTV.

  1. I know that some people are feeling that the “Style strut” is becoming just too much and a form of bragging. But what I think is, it’s Taylor saying that these people, to her, will always be in Style and she’s just sharing that with us. Besides, it’s fun and harmless and most people love it. Joey Tribbiani…obviously because Taylor loves Friends.
