The 2016 Billboard Music Awards: Taylor Swift wins Top Touring Artist
Long live the 1989 World Tour, Taylor Nation 🙂
Taylor Swift might not have had a sweep at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards last night, May 22. She was not even present. However, she certainly had one accolade from one triumph from last year we’ll never forget.
The 1989 World Tour got the Enchantress the Top Touring Artist award win. It’s no small feat, and to be honest if anything of Taylor’s deserves time in the spotlight, it was only fair that the tour would be the one thing you’d want to specifically remember from last year. The Blonde With The Sparkly 1989 Microphone is, after all, on a break (yes, seriously).
Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who thinks that everyone should have their time in the spotlight, we’d like to congratulate the winners. Adele took a slew of awards including Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album for her 25. So did The Weeknd including Top 100 Artist and Top Song Sales Artist. Celine Dion got an Icon Award and brought the thunder with Queen’s “The Show Must Go On”. Kesha had her moment in the sun singing Bob Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me Babe”.
Each one of these award shows is always a mixed bag as opinions are really polarized. So instead of telling you what I didn’t like or what I think could’ve been done better, I’d rather just say I missed the Sparkly Dressed most of all, in her usual spot: dancing in the front row.
