Jump then fall, Taylor Nation.
The Sparkly Dressed has a way with words, specially those put to music. On August 28, while playing Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan she paused the music part and said some words in honour of Aretha Franklin. As was expected, she was kind, she kept the focus on the Queen of Soul and she had the lights dimmed for a moment of silence.
“Last week we lost an irreplaceable force. Aretha Franklin did so much for music, she did so much for women’s rights, she did so much for civil rights,” said Taylor. “She was one of those people where no matter what you said, no matter what glowing positive thing you said about her, it would be an understatement.” You can read more about the moment in Harper’s Bazaar.
The surprise song that night was “Jump Then Fall”.
Taylor should be currently playing the first of two nights at U. S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
