Taylor Swift at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

Yes, I know it’s a late entry, fandomites…

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy that’s going to blame the ninjas again, we’re always playing catchup with the Mother of Fighting Dragons With You. T-Swizzle recently performed at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and it was all you wanted it to be and more. Live versions without any production added are often the best way to enjoy Taylor’s music. Hostess Clara Amfo gladly welcomed Taylor Swift back for some catching up before the acoustic/live performances.

Update: You can now watch the interview here.

Receiving the treatment were Lover tracks “Lover”, “London Boy”, “The Archer” and “You Need to Calm Down”. The cover song this time was “Can’t Stop Loving You” originally sang by Phil Collins. An unexpected surprise was Taylor bringing back “Holy Ground” from Red just because she felt like it.

Now don’t think I haven’t noticed this…

It’s always been a pet peeve of mine that when Taylor does a live performance somewhere we can’t see because there’s a region-lock or because it’s behind a pay wall of some sort. I have noticed that this era, Taylor is making sure that every single performance ends up somewhere where everyone in the world can see it – usually YouTube. Every. single. one.

Don’t think I haven’t noticed, Tay. And I appreciate it so much, believe me 🙂

Coming up in the Calendar!

  • September 9: Taylor Swift’s exclusive concert “City of Lover” happens in Paris, France.
  • October 5: Taylor Swift is the musical host on Saturday Night Live. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be hosting.

  1. I am completely new to Taylor Swift. A friend of mine played her songs throughout the drive from London to North Wales (and on the return journey too). There were points when I wanted to run from the car screaming! But that is only because I never ever binge listen to any artist/musician/bad…ever! So it was way too much for me.

However…I will say this, I really really like the acoustic versions of some of the songs I listened to above. If she released an acoustic album (over produced is not my cup of tea at all) I would definitely buy it. I like her voice and I like the songs when I hear acoustic versions.
