Weekly News Update: Taylor speaks at Sundance, skips GRAMMYs

Fandomites, Swifties, Taylor Nation, lend me your ears.

Here at the Swift Agency, just a guy who writes about Taylor and movies and didn’t make it to Sundance this year, we do have a Netflix account to watch Miss Americana this Friday, January 31st. Taylor Swift and director Lana Wilson were both in hand to take the stage last Thursday, January 23 after the premiere of Miss Americana at Sundance and give some insight into the process of making this documentary. Of course there’s a clip so let’s go to the video.

There’s a lot more to say about the documentary, including a reveal that already went public through Variety about dealing with an eating disorder. “I didn’t know if I was going to feel comfortable with talking about body image and talking about the stuff I’ve gone through in terms of how unhealthy that’s been for me — my relationship with food and all that over the years,” she tells Chris Willman from Variety.

On other news, Taylor was not in attendance for the GRAMMY awards. She didn’t win any of her three nominations. Best Pop Vocal Album went to Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Best Pop Solo Performance went to Lizzo for “Truth Hurts” and Song of the Year went to Billie Eilish for “Bad Guy”.

Coming up in the Calendar!
