Weekly News Update: It’s Always You, Liz Huett. Lover Fest, it’s over. Haim’s Gasoline.

This is the news, Taylor Nation.

It’s going to be a bittersweet mixed batch of news from this past week. Liz Huett continues to excel as she puts out a new song, Always You, into the world. We also have to report what most of you know already. Taylor has officially cancelled Lover Fest, and it sucks and it’s not what you wanted to hear, but it’s true. We will get some reprieve with some audio from Haim’s Gasoline featuring the Fearless One. That’s this past week in a nutshell.

To start us off, some great news from Liz Huett as she releases a new single, Always You. This is Liz going for a love song and yes, you do apparently write love some amazing love songs. This is a ballad with organ and guitar and Liz’s melodious voice flooding my head and taking you to your happy place. We need more songs like that right about now.

And about Lover Fest… Yes, we hardly knew you. I know this means now you have to get a refund and make calls and insist. Overall, the idea is that you can get your money back if you couldn’t before when it was postponed. The official Taylor Swift website confirms that Ticketmaster will be processing refunds automatically for the US dates.

However for Brazil shows, it’s a different story. I keep hearing Brazilian fans are getting offered credit instead of a full refund. The official site for their tickets is informativos.ticketsforfun.com.br, but I really hope Taylor or her team can put some pressure to get Brazilian Swifties their refunds as well. It also sucks that it was going to be the first time that Taylor would actually tour in South America.

And just to close this update with some good news, you can listen now to Haim’s new single Gasoline below. This is just the audio though. We really would love a full on video for this one featuring both Haim and the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar That Will Stay Inside The Case For The Time Being.

Don’t forget to check out Liz Huett’s new single Always You and let’s hope March brings some good news everyone’s way.
